Job Title: Customer Order Management Representative

Location: Remote (with occasional on-site visits to Darlington, County Durham)

Duration: 6 months (Potential for extension)

Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Some flexibility available)

Salary: £17.13 per hour (£33,400 p.a.)

We are currently looking for a proactive and customer-focused Customer Order Management Representative to join a fantastic team in Darlington. This temporary role is designed to help manage an increased workload and will last for 6 months, with the possibility of an extension depending on business needs.

Although this is a fully remote role, you will be required to visit the Darlington site occasionally to pick up IT hardware or for onsite work if preferred.

Customer Order Management Representative Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee customer accounts throughout the entire order life cycle, from setup and order entry to order modification, escalations, and logistics.
  • Act as the primary contact for customers, distribution centres, manufacturing plants, and internal departments to ensure the timely processing and fulfilment of orders.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and offer continuous communication with customers.
  • Resolve customer inquiries by researching and applying internal processes and solutions.
  • Escalate complex issues when necessary, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with export policies and prepare relevant shipping documentation.
  • Generate and distribute internal and customer reports.
  • Uphold and follow Customer Order Management policies and procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and departmental goals to deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer order management or account management is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
  • Supply chain and logistics knowledge is a bonus.
  • Oracle experience is helpful but not required.
